In 1985, visual effects supervisor Phil Tippett was commissioned to follow-up his short film "Prehistoric Beast" (1984) with new sequences from the late Cretaceous featuring new dinosaurs (Hadrosaurus, Deinonychus, Struthiomimus and Brontosaurus) for the CBS television documentary "Dinosaur!" (1985)
